This year marked the 25th running of the Sandusky Speedway Hy-Miler Supermodified Nationals. Race one of the triple crown, (Oswego Classic, and Star Classic are the other two), proved to be another great ISMA weekend with good car counts both days, great crowds and fantastic racing. Although slowed by rain on Saturday night, Don Arnold and crew did a fantastic job getting the track dried off and the show on the road and all should be commended.

#16 Jim Shirey leads his son Eric, (inside yellow #72), and Chris Perley, (outside black #11), into turn 2.

Gene Lee Gibson, (Kovacs #77),spun out at the end of practice Friday and got into the Armco at the top of turn two.
